16+ years of custom ECU remapping across the Southwest.
The story
Remap2Race started with a simple idea: dealership-quality ECU work shouldn't mean losing your car for a day. For 16+ years the workshop has been in the van — custom software written for the individual vehicle, installed on the customer's driveway or at their work, anywhere between Bristol and Plymouth.
Every map is written per vehicle — never a generic file. The original software is backed up before anything changes, and ours carries a lifetime warranty.
Certified by the Institute of the Motor Industry — independent proof of remapping competence, not just ownership of the tools. Certificate displayed on request.

Frequently asked
Is remapping safe?
Yes — maps are written within manufacturer component tolerances for your exact engine, and the original file is backed up first.
Will a remap affect my warranty?
A remap can be detected by a dealer and may affect a manufacturer warranty; we discuss this honestly before any work. Our own software carries a lifetime warranty.
Do I need to tell my insurer?
Yes — a remap is a modification and should be declared. Tell your insurer before the work and they will tell you what, if anything, it changes. We can give you the details of what was done.
How long does it take?
Typically 1–2 hours at your home or work, including a road test.
Can it be removed before a dealer visit or sale?
Yes — the original software is stored and can be restored at any time.
Petrol or diesel?
Both — turbo diesels see the biggest torque gains, turbo petrols strong BHP gains. Enter your reg for exact figures.
What if something goes wrong later?
Every map carries a lifetime software warranty. We guarantee the software itself won’t develop a fault, because each file is written and tested for your individual vehicle.
Do you really come to me?
Yes — the workshop is in the van. Home, work or fleet yard, 7 days a week, right across Devon and Somerset and over the Cornwall border.
