1 · Who we are

Remap2Race is a trading name of Remap2Race Franchise Group Ltd (company number 15218031). We are the controller of the personal information described here.

2 · What we collect

When you ask for a quote or book — by our website form, phone, WhatsApp or email — we collect what you give us:

• your name, phone number and email address
• your town or postcode, so we can plan the visit
• your vehicle registration and vehicle details
• the service you are interested in, and anything you tell us in your message

When you enter a registration in our vehicle lookup, the registration is used to find your vehicle's details and the gains available for it.

When we work on your vehicle we keep a record of the job, including a back-up of your vehicle's original ECU software, so it can be restored if ever needed.

If you apply for a franchise territory we collect your name, contact details, preferred territory, background and timeline, and your message.

If you apply for 0% finance we collect the details the finance provider's application needs: your title, name, mobile, email, address and postcode, plus the vehicle, the amount and how many payments you'd like. We pass these to the finance provider to process your application — we don't use them for anything else.

3 · How we use it, and why we're allowed to

• To reply to your enquiry and give you a quote — because you asked us to (steps before a contract).
• To carry out the work, take payment, and honour our guarantee and any warranty — to perform our contract with you.
• To keep business and tax records — because the law requires it.
• To consider a franchise application — because you asked us to, and it is in our legitimate interest to choose the right people for each territory.

We don't send marketing messages unless you ask us to, and we never sell your information.

4 · Who we share it with

Only the people who help us provide the service:

• RemapPack — the system that runs our vehicle lookup and receives our website enquiries.
• Vercel — the company that hosts this website.
• The independent Remap2Race franchisee for your area, if your enquiry is for a place they cover.
• A finance provider, only if you choose to apply for finance.

If you message us on WhatsApp, WhatsApp handles those messages under its own privacy policy. Links from this site to Google, Facebook and Instagram take you to those companies' own sites and policies.

Some of these providers may process information outside the UK. Where they do, they use the safeguards UK data-protection law requires.

5 · How long we keep it

• Enquiries that don't go ahead: up to 12 months, then deleted.
• Finance applications that don't go ahead: up to 12 months, then deleted.
• Customer and job records, including original ECU software back-ups: 6 years after the work, for our guarantee, warranty and tax records.
• Franchise applications that don't go ahead: up to 12 months.

6 · Cookies

This website does not use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers. If that ever changes, we'll update this page and ask for your consent first where the law requires it.

7 · Your rights

Under UK data-protection law you can ask us to: give you a copy of your information; correct it; delete it; limit how we use it; or stop using it. You can also object to how we use it, and ask for it in a format you can take elsewhere.

To make a request, email info@ecu-remap2race.co.uk. We'll reply within one month. It's free.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113 — but please talk to us first so we can put it right.
