Volvo remapping, mapped to your exact engine
Volvo's D4 and D5 diesels are built for exactly the kind of driving people do here: long runs down the A30 and the M5, often with the boot full and something on the back. The XC60, XC90 and V-series estates are heavy cars that reward torque rather than revs. The map is written for your engine and gearbox and loaded where the car is parked.

Volvo remapping FAQs
Will it affect the driver assistance systems?
No. Cruise control, braking assistance and the rest are separate systems and are left alone — the work is on the engine's own software. The car still behaves as Volvo designed it; it simply pulls more willingly. If anything on your car is already showing a fault, the diagnostic check at the start will pick it up.
I do mostly long motorway runs — economy or power?
For that pattern the economy-led map usually suits best. Steady cruising is where a torque-first file does its work, because the engine sits lower in the rev range for the same speed. What you get back depends on how you drive it: we can write the map, but nobody can promise a figure at the pump.
Is anything different on the AWD models?
The software side is the same. What changes is how the car uses the torque: all-wheel drive puts it down more evenly, which is useful on a wet lane or a slipway with a trailer. The figures still come from your exact engine and year, and the reg lookup is the honest way to see them.
Can I move up a stage later on?
Yes. Plenty of people start with the economy-led map, live with it for a while and then decide they want more. Your original file stays saved either way, and going up is a return visit rather than starting from scratch. Ask when you book and we will tell you what your engine can take.
